The following Terms and Conditions apply to all orders accepted by City Wine Collection. Please pay close attention to the details of our agreement to ensure your maximum security and satisfaction.

INVOICING:

An Invoice is a confirmation of order and is due for payment by return.

Wines are offered and sold by CITY WINE COLLECTION in number of ways:

1 – En Primeur

2 – Under bond – for wines sold, transferred or held under bond. Prices for these wines do not include UK duty and VAT.

PLEASE NOTE - Wines can be held and/or sold or resold under bond indefinitely without having to pay UK duty and VAT. Wines ordered for delivery out of bond and deliverable to a UK address will incur duty and VAT, which will be due before the wine is released from bond. THE VAT IS PAYABLE ON THE DUTY AS WELL AS THE VALUE OF THE WINE

3 – Duty paid – for wines already released from bond by the importer and sold for UK delivery. The prices will include duty at prevailing rate as well as vat currently at 17.5%.

DUTY RATES:

Still wines up to 15% abv - £20.25 per case of 12 bott (9l)

Sparkling wines up to 15% abv - £ 25.94 per case of 12 bott (9l)

Fortified wines (port, sherry madeira etc) up to 22% abv - £ 27.00 per case of 12 bott (9l).

PAYMENT:

Payment is due on invoice and prior to release of goods. The most convenient way is by bank transfer – this would normally ensure the fastest release of the goods.

We also accept debit and credit card payments. Please note that credit card payments incur 3.5% surcharge. We currently only accept visa and mastecard.
